Granite Transformations
This TV commercial for Granite Transformations, although looking quite
simple, consists of over 12 different video passes which are combined
together to create the finished project.
A motion control camera rig was used to ensure the camera made the same
sweeping motion at exactly the same speed and angles. We then told the
computer to slow down the camera by 12 times so that when our workers came
in and started changing the kitchen fittings it would look like they were
doing so very quickly. Subsequently, the footage match ups with all the
other 30 sec passes that we filmed once it is speeded up. We finished the
advert with a lengthy process of compositing (layering different parts of
different takes together to form a completed sequence).
